About Us

Cheeky Butts was born in March 2004 as a hobby that soon outgrew its humble beginnings. As a mum at home with a child who still wet the bed, one in nappies and one on the way, I wanted a better alternative to cloth nappies, and searched high and low for better fabrics. I  tweaked and reworked a design that I had previously used years before on our older children to get the great products we now have.

We started by making nappies for our own children but after many enquiries and requests, we were soon making lots for other mums. By 2006 we realised that the small groups of sewers we were using could not keep up with demand and started looking for quality manufactures, here in Australia and off shore.

We now have a great small team dedicated to fair trade ethics, high quality working conditions and above average wages are paid to our workers. While some items are made offshore there are still a lot of our products made right here in Australia by our great team of Work At Home Mums.

Our choice of factories for our products is very important to us, as we will not make a profit from others suffering, nor use sweat shops or child labour. Though this increases our costs of manufacturing we believe it is a worthy cost.

At Cheeky Butts we want both new and experienced mums to realise that cloth nappying today does not require the use of pins or pilchers ( plastic pants) soaking and bleaching, nor complicated washing.

Cheeky Butts All In One Pocket Nappies, Nite Knickers, Training Pants, Bumboo’s, fitted nappies and covers will fit most babies from birth through to middle childhood. With a great range of colours and exclusive prints your child is sure to be the cutest Cheeky Butt in town.

With the introduction of our new one sized All in Two Pocket nappy / diaper we have opened up the choices even more. No need to upgrade to the next size saving you lots of money, but it is also compatible with our other nappy systems. Our nappy / diaper wraps can use the booster inserts as can our regular pocket nappies. This great one size design can also be used as a cover and insert system by replacing the soiled inserts with a fresh set, thereby reducing the amount of nappies that are needed to be purchased.

Want to go swimming? Simply use the outer of your onesize as a swim nappy / diaper once again saving money by not having to purchase a seperate item for this purpose.

We also have cloth menstrual pads, breastpads and personal wetbags for mums. As well as a great line of natural body care, wetbags, wipes and towels.

Cheeky Butts Strives to conduct business in a sustainable way by using as little packaging as possible. The last thing a customer or we want to see is a dozen nappies all singly packaged in plastic or with paper bands. It is no good for the enviroment nor our landfill.
